Tiny's Daughter Zonnique may soon be blind - all because she got a controversial "blue eye" surgery in Africa. In the controversial surgery, doctors place a blue implant, to permanently change eye color.
Tiny and her daughter flew to Africa 2 years ago - to bypass FDA regulations and get the surgery. At the time, they both thought that it was a good idea.
Well now Zonnique is facing health problems regarding the eye surgery. After a recent trip to the eye doctor, TI's step daughter was told that she's "going blind."
Zonnique has since had a series of surgeries to remove the implants - one eye at a time. Her left eye implant was removed, and doctors are scheduled to remove the right one in a few weeks.
But doctors are worried that they can't remove her right eye implant, without causing permanent injury.
MTO News has learned that even with both implants removed, Zonnique's vision will forever be compromised.
So when a fan asked her about it on her Instagram page, the reality star admitted that the experience came with complications.
“I’ve never liked to recommend anyone to do it,” she told a fan, who considering getting the same procedure. “I can say that the experience wasn’t the best in the long term but everyone is different.”
“My moms are fine,” she added, referencing Tiny’s surgery.
In 2014, Tiny opened up about her decision to travel to Tunisia to undergo a controversial surgery to permanently change her eye color from brown to “ice gray.”
“They told me the procedure would be quick, like five or ten minutes in my eye. They woke me up and it was very blurry, and then it kind of just fades in. I looked in the mirror and I was like, they’re amazing,” she told ABC News.
