Kim Kardashian Stands Her Ground After Kanye Asks Her To Tone Down Her Sexy Public Image

Kim Kardashian may be Kanye West's style muse, but it appears that the rapper is no longer here for his wife's signature risqué image.

During Sunday night's episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, the two got into a war of words on the eve of the 2019 Met Gala, with Kanye expressing his disapproval of Kim's corset and skin-tight Thierry Mugler dress.

"I went through this transition where being a rapper, looking at all these girls and looking at my wife, like, 'Oh, my girl needs to be just like the other girls showing their body off,'" he said as Kim looked on from the couch before him. "I didn't realize that that was affecting my soul and my spirit as someone who is married and the father of now... about to be four kids."

Going on to criticize her outfit, he added, "A corset is a form of underwear, it's hot, for who though?"

Refusing to compromise her outfit choice and image for his satisfaction, Kim stood her ground and urged the "Heartless" rapper to keep his negative energy.

"So the night before the Met [Gala], you're going to come in here and say that you're not into a corset vibe?" she responded. "You're giving me really bad anxiety. You knew last night I had really bad anxiety and I don't need any more negative energy and for you to say you're now not into me wearing a tight dress."

Apparently still hoping she would back down, 'Ye fired back, "You are my wife and it affects me when pictures are too sexy."

However, the beauty mogul made it clear that while he is newly reformed in his music and life — as seen through his "Sunday Service" performances — that does not mean she's in the same space.

"You built me up to be this sexy person and confidence and all this, and just because you're on a journey and transformation doesn't mean I'm in the same spot with you," she said.

Visibly upset by her words, Kanye responded, "OK, alright. OK, alright, cool," before storming out of the room.
