The Croods: A New Age isn’t going anywhere.
The animated sequel yet again topped the domestic box office, marking its fifth week at No. 1 in its 13 weeks since release, inching closer to becoming the top-grossing film of the pandemic, Deadline reported Sunday (February 21).
The film crossed the $50 million mark over the weekend, trailing just behind Tenet‘s $57.9 million gross.
Nicolas Cage, Emma Stone and Ryan Reynolds all lend their voices to the film. In the movie, the prehistoric family the Croods are challenged by a rival family the Bettermans, who claim to be better and more evolved.
The original Croods movie earned $89 million during its first two weekends in 2013.
