According to new reports, Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson’s whirlwind romance is already over, only four months after they got engaged. TMZ was the first outlet to share that the two are officially over.
Apparently, they decided to call off their engagement this weekend.
Supposedly, their love is still burning hot but they agreed that the timing for their relationship is not great.
That being said, getting back together is definitely not out of the question.
Ariana and Pete have actually been dropping clues they were heading for a breakup.
First of all, she was supposed to appear at the Barbara Berlanti Heroes Gala in Los Angeles, but she just dropped out last night.
Furthermore, perhaps the most obvious clue was the fact that Pete covered up his bunny mask tattoo inspired by Ariana’s Dangerous Woman album cover.
People were suspicious already that there might be trouble in paradise but because he inked a heart and an ‘A’ over the original tattoo, some assumed it was still a tribute to the singer.
It’s possible that her ex Mac Miller’s passing affected not only her but also her relationship with Pete.
Last month, she took to Twitter to write a number of heartbreakings messages that showed just how much she was struggling.
‘Can i pls have one okay day. just one. pls,./i am so tired pls./i am so f***ing tired pls,’ she wrote.
She even responded with ‘J f**king K’ to one of her previous tweets in which she was telling her fans that ‘everything will be okay.’
Following the rapper’s death, one rep for the singer told HollywoodLife that ‘Given the events of the last couple of years, Ariana’s going to take some needed time off to heal and to mend. She will be staying close to home and will be this break to spend time with her loved ones and to work on music without a deadline. She thanks all of her fans for their understanding.’
While Ariana and Pete are still to release a statement about their breakup, it seems like they might just be taking a break so she can recover emotionally and then try again.
