The 49-year-old actress first alerted fans about the split last month in a tweet that stated Ioan had announced he was leaving the family.
Now, she has updated fans about the state of her relationship with Ioan.
“I never thought this would happen to us. I am still fighting against it, because I love our kids, and I still love him, but something has happened inside his head and whatever it is, I don’t see him coming back to us,” Alice shared in a heartbreaking post on her Instagram this week.
Posting an image of a heart torn in half, followed by one that said “Game Over”, she stated that the pain of the split “is excruciating but I am stronger than an ox.”
“Though I weep all day when my kids aren’t looking, at night I add up figures and plan futures for us and you know what? I will do those two angels right if it’s all I ever do.! ❤️💕” Alice added.
Alice is speaking of her two daughters Ella and Elsie, whom she shares with Ioan.
Shortly after Alice‘s first tweet was posted and then deleted, the couple made a “joint statement” about their relationship.
